About Halton Healthcare

Halton Healthcare runs three community hospitals in Halton Region, west of Toronto: Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Milton District Hospital and Georgetown Hospital in Halton Hills. It says it serves almost 400,000 residents, and all three hospitals have an emergency department open 24 hours a day.

Halton Healthcare posts an estimated wait to see a physician for each emergency department, updated every 15 minutes, along with the number of patients in the department and the number waiting to be seen. Georgetown currently has no on-call obstetrician/gynecologist, so Halton directs pregnancy and gynecological emergencies to Milton or Oakville.
