We check it every 5 minutes and show its own label for the number. How this page works
An average of recorded waits over the provider's reporting period, not a prediction for someone arriving now. It is not the total time at the hospital. Sicker patients are seen first. How Windsor Regional Hospital emergency wait times defines it
The colours are set by us, not by Windsor Regional Hospital emergency wait times. Under 2 hours is the Canadian goal for even the least urgent patients. cihi.ca

Erie Shores HealthCare is a hospital in Leamington, Ontario. Emergency department: All ages. This service is open 24 hours a day.
Erie Shores HealthCare (ESHC), at 194 Talbot Street West in Leamington, Ontario, is its own hospital, not a campus of Windsor Regional Hospital, although Windsor Regional Hospital operates a satellite dialysis unit inside the building and the two share an integrated laboratory service. It opened in 1950 as Leamington District Memorial Hospital, and the hospital's history page says it transitioned into Erie Shores HealthCare in 2017. The hospital has a Level 2 intensive care unit, CT, an MRI (described by Ontario as Leamington's first-ever MRI machine, with a ribbon-cutting reported on 16 January 2025), X-ray, ultrasound, a laboratory, and level-one obstetrics for low-risk pregnancies of 37 weeks and beyond, 24 hours a day.
The emergency department has a doctor on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and sees all ages; nurse practitioner hours are 10 am to 10 pm. A short-term parking lot is across from the Emergency Department entrance. Patients with psychiatric illness, broken upper legs, upper arms, pelvis or hip, major injuries (trauma) and head injuries are sent directly to Windsor by ambulance, and ESHC tells people with signs of a stroke, chest pain or severe breathing difficulty to call 911. There is no neonatal intensive care unit: if a mother or baby needs a higher level of care, a transport team from Windsor Regional Hospital or London Health Sciences responds. ESHC lists no paediatric inpatient unit; it offers virtual child urgent care by video link to Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre.
The wait shown here is the one on Windsor Regional Hospital's wait-time page, which Erie Shores also embeds on its own site: ESHC says wait times are updated every 15 minutes and are estimates from when patients are assessed at triage to when they are seen by a physician. The feed also gives the longest wait and the number of patients waiting. For problems that are not emergencies, call Health811 at 811 to speak with a registered nurse, 24 hours a day, or go to the Central Erie Shores Walk-In Clinic (VCare) at 33 Princess Street, Unit 105, Leamington, which 211 Ontario (updated 10 November 2025) lists as open Monday to Friday 12 pm to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 3 pm; call 519-398-8212 to check other hours. In an emergency, call 911.

At 9:45 pm EDT, the average wait to see a doctor or np was 1 hour 20 minutes (shorter wait), according to Windsor Regional Hospital emergency wait times. It changes as patients arrive, and the most urgent cases are always seen first.
Windsor Regional Hospital emergency wait times publishes it as "Average wait to see a doctor or NP": The length of time between being assessed by a triage nurse and seeing a doctor or nurse practitioner, shown as an average. Windsor Regional Hospital says the most critical patients are seen first, so an individual's wait may be much shorter or longer than the average. Erie Shores HealthCare, which appears in the same feed, describes its figure as an estimate from being assessed at triage to being seen by a physician. Updated about every 15 minutes. We check it every 5 minutes. People with the most urgent needs are always seen first, so your own wait may be shorter or longer.
"Nearby ER wait times right now", at the end of this page, lists the nearest tracked sites with their current waits. These are the nearest facilities in our tracked dataset, not necessarily every local care option. A shorter estimate is not a recommendation to travel farther. If it is an emergency, call 911.
Erie Shores says patients with psychiatric illness, a broken upper leg, upper arm, pelvis or hip, major injuries (trauma), or a head injury are sent directly to Windsor by ambulance. It tells people with signs of a stroke, chest pain or severe trouble breathing to call 911.
