Welland Hospital is Niagara Health's hospital at 65 Third Street in Welland. Its emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, alongside critical care, surgery, medicine, complex care, kidney care, a Diabetes Education Centre, outpatient mental health and addictions services and the Regional Ophthalmology Program.
Niagara Health plans to become a three-site hospital system in 2028, when the new South Niagara Hospital opens, and Welland stays one of the three. Renovations from spring 2027 will add single and double patient rooms, bring more than 60 complex care beds and the 35-bed residential addictions treatment program to Welland, and make it a Centre of Excellence for Eye Care.
